Welcome to the home of the Coastside Democrats We are a grassroots Democratic club serving the beautiful coastal areas on the west coast of San Mateo County, California, south of the city of Pacifica. This includes the city of Half Moon Bay and the communities of El Granada, Moss Beach, Montara, Pescadero and San Gregorio as well as surrounding areas. This club is chartered by the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee. The purposes of this club are to support the candidates of the Democratic Party and to support the principles of: honest and transparent government and elections equal and inclusive opportunity and justice for all Americans government benefiting all citizens, not just the wealthy full respect for our natural environment and international treaties public health and education, women’s rights and the welfare of seniors outreach to youth and all ethnic communities Please see our Bylaws, for more info. Our members live in the 19th Assembly District, the 8th State Senate District and are split between the 12th and 14th Congressional Districts. We serve the Coastside from Montara south to the Santa Cruz county line. The Coastside Democrats hold regular free membership meetings that are open to the public. We also hold Executive Board meetings that are open to all club members. Please see our Calendar for info on upcoming meetings. Membership is open to all registered Democrats who live or work on the Coastside as well as those not yet qualified to register but plan to register Democratic when they become eligible. Click on the Join the Club menu item for membership and dues info. We maintain several email lists to help our members stay up to date on club, state and national issues.
